Posted in response to a thread in rec.photo.digital. First I used curves to set the highlight and add a bit of zip, being careful to retain the highlight detail from the original. To lighten the creases, I duped to a new layer, then used the dodge tool, brush size 10-30 pixels at 10%. The dark line along one man's shoulder was removed with the clone tool, brush size about 5-10 pixels.
